well...

Well...Since Ive written last we lost Titan. It was too painful for me to even log on because of the suddeness of his death. He had eaten something and went into surgery to have it removed (a simple procedure) and did not make it out. It happened March 1st. It was very difficult but God has been so good and turned this painful incident into something for His glory. Titan's sire's breeder had a puppy available. When we found this out we didn't get too excited because he only sells to show homes and raises champions so they are VERY pricey. The puppy he had available couldn't show or breed so he gave him to us for only the vet bills. He is seven months old now and a sweety. God is so good because one month after Titans death he gave us Achilles. It was so completely a God thing I feel humbled that He cares even about the small things!!

Wow been a long time!

Well, guess this goes to show how fast this fall/ winter has gone. We moved all of the sheridan house campus from old to new in December. After doing that Adam and I were finally able to move back home. (to our house) No more stinky boys. Although now that we are back to our "normal" lives, I really miss those boys. God has now gotten us invovled in some of the development end of our ministry. It has really been exciting coming up with new ideas and refreshing some of the old ones. It is amazing how he stretchs us. But just to show you how busy we have been this is our boy. Titan is now seven months old and pushing 90 lbs. Crazy! He has been such a blast. I now wonder how I ever lived life without a dog!

Our crazy boy!!

Here is Titan and I a couple weekends ago. He is actually bigger than this now. We took him into the vet today and he weighs like 50lbs. It has been so much fun having him. Adam and I are still living at the boys campus so Titan has gotten to hang out with the six boys in our house. It has been so much fun watching them play together!

what I've been learning

We have started this bible study for the contrast group at our church and it has been so awsome. So I just thought I would put a plug in for this website. www.threadsmedia.com This is a great resource for young adult ministry. They have media playlists that have gone along with the study as well as pod-casts. The one we have been doing is called intransit. It is about what to do with your times of waiting in your life. It has been so encouraging for us right now. God always makes me laugh how He wants to teach me something and I guess I keep on missing it so He makes Adam and I teach it. That way He knows that I will hear. He is so awesome like that!!! I just thought I would share the resource!

What a crazy summer! God has really been showing me lately, well always, that so much depends on my perspective and what I choose to focus on. I have this picture up in my office to help me remember what God (and Adam) constantly remind me. I can either see the glass as half full or half empty. I can just see life's difficulties and start to feel sorry for myself at which point I become self absorbed. My other option is to see God's blessing in my life and continue to focus on them. We had the opportunity over our break to hang out with our friends alot. It was such a blessing! I am so greatful to God that He has given us so many awesome people to lean on in this challenging time in our lives. I am so thankful for this blessing at this time in our life!! =)

Ok I just found a new website that is really helpful! I read The New Messies Manual about a year ago and it was really impactful. It was so awesome on creative and simple ways to keep your house. Unfortunately, as soon as I read it we moved into the boys home. So I am really excited to start it now. But God really released me from guilt over it and I felt that He gave me a useful tool. I learned alot about myself and found out that perfectionists tend to have trouble with housework and creative perfectionists REALLY have a hard time. The author of the book has a website that sends out daily reminders and tips. I thought it was great!! This is the second of Sandra Felton's books I have read. But I would suggest starting with The New Messies Manual
